Job Description
Position Summary :
Maintains departmental surgical schedules and lists surgical procedures with OR. Prepares necessary paperwork; ensures all necessary documentation is entered into the medical chart; obtains referrals and pre‐certifications required by insurance plans; verifies medical record is in order; arranges history and physicals for surgical patients as needed. Ensures all other necessary surgical paperwork is accurately completed for all surgical patients. Works well with coworkers and adheres to strict confidentiality.
Education, License & Cert :
High School Grad or Equivalent. Candidate must have knowledge of medical terminology and be able to demonstrate command of English language and accepted policies and procedures of organization.
Experience :
Knowledge of how to effectively deal with ill people is required. Pleasant, caring personality an asset.
