- Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients, utilizing standardized tools and observational techniques to identify communication challenges.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs, incorporating evidence-based therapy strategies.
- Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions focused on improving articulation, language comprehension, social communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to implement therapy goals within classroom or home environments.
- Monitor progress regularly through ongoing assessments and modify treatment approaches accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication development at home and in daily activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in speech-language pathology, pediatrics, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to enhance patient care quality.
- Participate in early intervention programs aimed at supporting children during critical developmental periods.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards while delivering patient-centered care in a compassionate manner.
- Experience
- Prior experience working with children in school settings or pediatric clinics is highly preferred; however, recent graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for pediatric populations with diverse needs.
- Familiarity with patient assessment methods specific to speech-language pathology and understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to communication functions.
- Experience working with children who have speech delays, language impairments, or other communication disorders is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology while maintaining clarity for families and team members.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care excellence with a proactive approach toward ongoing professional development in pediatrics and early intervention strategies. Pay : $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
