Job Title
You will collaborate with program service managers to address counseling and advocacy service and community support issues.
You will write policies for a command personal and family readiness program.
You will brief senior level leadership on the progress achieved toward meeting fleet and family strategic objectives.
You will determine Counseling and Advocacy Service program requirements and resources to provide input for budget formulations.
You will evaluate the effectiveness of existing prevention and family training or workshops and make recommendations for improvement.
You will establish networks with local community agencies that provide preventive interventions to families.
You will provide technical guidance; identify training needs; interview and select candidates for vacancies; recommend promotions; approve leave; recommend awards and resolve disciplinary issues.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and / or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics.
In addition to the basic requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following :
1) Overseeing and facilitating services for the Career Support / Retention; Deployment / Readiness; Crisis Response Emergency Management; Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) programs for a Navy installation to achieve command and mission readiness for individuals and military families.
2) Developing, planning and directing uses of appropriated and non-appropriated fund resources to ensure delivery of programs and services provided by the installation to include procurement, award, and administration of military support / human services contracts.
3) Using a variety of qualitative and / or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems.
4) Applying knowledge of State, Federal, and municipal human service laws, and programs to serve as a policy advisor to the installation commander in the development and implementation of work life services and activities.
5) Performing supervisory duties such as managing, organizing, directing, providing technical leadership and guidance, assigning and prioritizing work, position management, evaluating work performance of subordinates and resolving disciplinary issues.
