Summary
Understands the current system of inventory controls, use of forms, purchasing, vendor relationships, quality control, current employee's roles and how each employee interact with the function of being a Purchasing Manager. Coordinate with Production Manager and Operations Manager the products necessary to keep work moving forward. Work with scheduler to ensure raw materials are provided to production in a timely manner for fabrication and to ship to our customer(s).
Responsibilities
- Create daily and weekly production reports
- Create production reporting sheets and update daily
- Collect data from the production floor to update the schedule
- Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
- Notify PM's if a millwork release is behind or ahead of schedule
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
- Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation.
- Reconcile schedule at the end of each day in order for next day priority reports
- Assist with identifying improper processes and suggest new improved processes
- Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
- Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and services.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
- Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
Requirements
Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods.Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.Previous experience negotiating, or renegotiating, and administering contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.For consideration & more info send your resume (in Word.doc) & contact exclusively :
