Medical Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure accurate billing of services by assigning correct ICD-10 and CPT codes

Review documentation and pending billing slips for timely and clean claims submission

Coordinate with medical staff to address billing issues and maintain quality metrics

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High School Diploma or equivalent work-related history; college education or trade school preferred

Certified Professional Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Medical Coder preferred

Minimum 1 year of experience in a physician group practice billing department preferred

Extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding conventions

Knowledge of third-party payer reimbursement guidelines
