Job description

Production Supervisor

We're seeking a Production Supervisor to help lead daily operations and support a strong, safety-focused team. You'll work alongside other supervisors to ensure production runs smoothly, meet quality goals, and uphold the cooperative's values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate clear performance expectations and provide timely feedback, coaching, and training.
  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors to support production team members.
  • Coordinate staff schedules to meet production requirements and approve employee timecards.
  • Use ERP software for basic reporting, product transfers, and printing Bill of Ladings (BOLs).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and fair employment practices.
  • Oversee accurate recordkeeping and documentation of production activities.
  • Promote and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other quality and safety standards.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Partner with other supervisors to plan, adjust, and monitor production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a food production or manufacturing facility (preferred).
  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to continuously learn.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Understanding of machine operations and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Knowledge of sanitation chemicals and safe handling practices.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Proven ability to provide accountability, feedback, and team support.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
