Phaxis is looking for a qualified Contract School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in schools located in Pelham, NY , and the surrounding areas for the current academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a center-based special education program serving preschool-aged children in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

\n\n Position Details : \n\n \n\t

  • Title : Contract School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

\n\t

  • Location : Pelham, NY

    • \n\t

  • Caseload : Preschool students enrolled in special education programs

    • \n\t

  • Schedule : 30 hours per week\n\t \n\t\t

    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday : 8 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM

    \n\t\t

  • Wednesday : 8 : 30 AM – 3 : 30 PM

    • \n\t\t

  • Friday : 8 : 30 AM – 2 : 30 PM

    • \n\t \n\t

    \n\t

  • Duration : School Year

    • \n\t

  • Pay Range : $40-$50+ / hr

    • \n \n\n Responsibilities : \n\n \n\t

  • Provide individual and group occupational therapy services to preschool students as per their IEP mandates.

    • \n\t

  • Address key developmental areas including fine motor, gross motor, visual-perceptual, and self-help skills using sensory integration and adaptive techniques.

    • \n\t

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

    • \n\t

  • Work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, school psychologists, behavioral teams, and classroom staff to support positive treatment outcomes.

    • \n\t

  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation (daily session notes, quarterly progress reports, annual reviews, etc.) in a timely manner.

    • \n\t

  • Participate in meetings and consultations with educators, parents, and other professionals to monitor student progress and update IEP services as needed.

    • \n \n\n Requirements : \n\n \n\t

  • Valid New York State Occupational Therapist License

    • \n\t

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited occupational therapy program

    • \n\t

  • NPI number

    • \n\t

  • Pediatric experience is preferred; however, new graduates with pediatric experience will be considered.

    • \n\t

  • COTA candidates are encouraged to apply and will be considered
