Role Overview

We are seeking a lead software developer focusing on a high-volume high-availability transactional processing system currently written in a combination of technologies (C++, SQL, .Net, etc.). The ideal candidate would be experienced in high-volume back-end service implementation, comfortable learning existing code, and able to take the lead in a modernization effort to design and implement a plan to rewrite legacy parts of the system in modern architecture, while also supporting the existing legacy code.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and resolve reported software issues to ensure system stability and performance.
• Work closely with Support and Product teams to address system issues and prioritize enhancements.
• Design, develop, and deploy code updates to resolve issues or introduce new features.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures to ensure availability and reliability.
• Participate in design discussions and provide expert-level technical input on proposed system changes or enhancements.
• Identify and recommend system improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and supportability.
• Drive efforts to reduce technical debt and modernize legacy components, ensuring system sustainability.
• Proactively contribute ideas for technical innovation, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
