Summary :
The Self-Contained Intensive Supplemental Support Special Education Teacher provides targeted, small-group instruction to students performing significantly below grade level in reading, math, and social-emotional development. This role is designed for an educator who is passionate about accelerating student growth through data-driven instruction, differentiated supports, and strong collaboration. The teacher creates a structured, nurturing learning environment where students develop confidence, skills, and independence. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that every student-regardless of starting point-has access to meaningful, high-quality instruction that leads to measurable academic and personal success.
The Self-Contained Intensive Supplemental Support Teacher reports to the Assistant Principal of Specialized Services and collaborates closely with classroom teachers, interventionists, and families to align supports and monitor progress.

Responsibilities & Duties
Deliver Individualized, Intensive Instruction
Provide small-group, targeted intervention in reading, math, and social / emotional skill development.Use data-driven, evidence-based instructional strategies to accelerate academic growth.Develop and adapt instructional materials and assessments to meet a wide range of learner needs.Foster independence, self-regulation, and problem-solving skills in students.Monitor and Analyze Student Progress
Collect and analyze academic and behavioral data to inform instruction and intervention plans.Track and communicate progress toward individualized learning goals.Adjust instruction based on ongoing data review and student response to intervention.Collaborate Across the School Community
Work closely with classroom teachers to align supports and maintain consistency across learning environments.Partner with families and caregivers to share progress, strategies, and next steps for student success.Collaborate with related service providers and support staff to integrate academic and therapeutic goals.Support Special Education Compliance (Preferred)
Write and maintain IEPs and progress reports that align with student needs and goals.Lead or participate in IEP meetings, fostering collaboration among families, teachers, and service providers.Contribute to School Culture and Growth
Participate in professional development focused on intervention, special education, and equity-driven teaching practices.Support school-wide initiatives, events, and service-learning projects aligned with the school's mission.Uphold high expectations and model patience, empathy, and growth mindset for all students.Qualifications
Experience working with students who are performing multiple grade levels below placement or with significant learning differences.Strong skills in data tracking, progress monitoring, and instructional planning.Deep understanding of evidence-based intervention strategies in reading and math.(Preferred) Pennsylvania special education certification or eligibility.(Preferred) Experience writing IEPs and leading or participating in IEP meetings.Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field required; Master's Degree preferred.Title : Self-Contained Intensive Supplemental Support Special Education Teacher
