Job Title : TIG Welder

Job Description

This role involves a combination of welding and fabrication tasks, primarily focusing on TIG welding and finishing of stainless steel and other materials.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding and finishing on stainless steel and other materials, specifically 20g.
  • Operate Kuhlmeyer grinding and polishing machines, including auto, semi-auto, and manual operations.
  • Select and modify software programs to run specific parts on machines as necessary.
  • Complete setup tasks to prepare for the shift, including acquiring proper fixtures.
  • Visually inspect and measure parts for accuracy and defects.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in TIG welding on stainless steel, with at least 1 year of experience required.
  • Proficiency in using blueprints, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Experience in running and operating machines such as brake press, laser, turret, and punch.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with fabrication and welding techniques.
  • Knowledge of software used for machine operations.

    Work Environment

    Work in a huge, modern facility housing over 300 people in the fabrication department across three shifts. The environment is clean and temperature-controlled. You will be part of a pod, working alongside 2-3 other employees each operating their own machine.

    This position is based out of Fitchburg, Wisconsin.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00 / hr.
