About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Oncology Chemo Certified

Duration : 13 weeks to 16 weeks

Shift : Day and Night Rotating

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (07 : 00 - 19 : 30; 19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in Medical-Surgical and Oncology

License : Valid nursing license required

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Certification

Must-Have :

Chemo certification required

Mixed acuity experience in a PCU and MS unit

Experience with a variety of patient diagnoses including various types of leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma

Experience in administering chemotherapy, blood products, and managing central lines

Description :

This position involves caring for patients undergoing treatment for various cancers.

Candidates must possess skills in telemetry monitoring and the interpretation of dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities include the administration of chemotherapy and blood products, alongside peripheral and central line care.

Candidates will be working in a rotating day and night shift schedule.

Flexibility in scheduling is essential; no fixed schedule or block scheduling applies.

The facility will determine the full weekly schedule, including weekends.

Must be able to accommodate a maximum of 1 to 2 days of requested time off.

Prior charge nurse experience is preferred.

Additional responsibilities may include managing infection prevention protocols and patient safety.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members is a key component of this role.

Candidates should be prepared for potential adjustments in shift assignments based on staffing needs.
