ARRAYNow is hiring : Film Distribution Coordinator in Los Angeles

SUMMARY :

ARRAY is a film collective dedicated to amplifying the work of Black artists, people of color, and women filmmakers of all kinds.

We are looking for a dedicated individual with a can-do attitude to join our team as an ARRAY Releasing Coordinator. Based at our Los Angeles campus in Historic Filipinotown, the Film Coordinator will work directly with the ARRAY Releasing team to coordinate the acquisition and distribution of inclusive cinema domestically and internationally.

In this position, you will be expected to :

• Work under the direction of the President of ARRAY Releasing to execute ARRAY's acquisition and distribution of independent feature films.
• Maintain ARRAY's film releasing schedule, handle administrative duties, and provide updates to ARRAY senior executives, team members, and internal calendars.
• Collaborate with ARRAY Marketing and Publicity on film materials for releasing campaigns.
• Coordinate with ARRAY filmmakers to gather and organize film delivery materials.
• Maintain the archive of film materials and marketing assets for each ARRAY film title.
• Research potential film titles for acquisition that align with ARRAY's mission.
• Identify rising filmmakers, production professionals, scholars, and other experts to participate in ARRAY Releasing events; assist in hosting these guests.
• Identify partner organizations that align with film themes and ARRAY’s core mission.
• Coordinate travel and accommodations for filmmakers and guests as needed.
• Draft run-of-show and questions for conversation-based film releasing events.
• Track and communicate the status of film releases to filmmakers and the ARRAY team.
• Draft promotional text for event calendars, websites, publications, and other media.
• Generate post-release recap reports illustrating each film's release scope.
• Maintain professional relationships with program partners, theatrical booking agents, and key film community members.
• Attend film programs and events to network and stay informed about industry happenings.
• Engage with stakeholders including staff, industry experts, audiences, and partners.
• Collaborate with the team on programmatic ideas related to the role's domain.
