Provide programmatic, administrative and fiscal oversight for assigned Divisions and Center. This encompasses managing human resources and financial aspects within the Division, which includes supervising division administrative staff, ensuring financial compliance, budget development, expense management, and program and financial analysis. The Division Manager will also collaborate with Banner Health Associate Directors to ensure compliance and adherence to the Physician Compensation Plan for calculating and implementing changes in the Distribution of Effort and Compensation for Clinical Faculty.
Act as a University of Arizona division liaison with the Division Chief, Center Director, Clinical and Research faculty, and Banner Health Associate Directors and Leadership. This includes attending monthly Chief and Vice Chair meetings, quarterly and ad hoc faculty meetings with the Chief, Principal Investigators (PI's), and other research faculty, and attend jointly and weekly Banner Health meetings to resolve issues, completing special projects or reports, researching and answering questions as they arise, assisting in strategic planning, following-up on open items, including keeping leadership abreast of the financial status / issues in the Division or Center.
Oversee the daily operational functions of their designated Divisions and / or Center. This includes responsibilities such as approving timecards and providing supervision and oversight of the division's administrative personnel, in close partnership with the Department Administration, Division Chief and / or Center Director, and Administrative Staff Lead and Lead Medical Education Program Coordinator. Furthermore, the Division Manager collaborates with Banner Health Associate Directors and Manager of Operations Staff Support to guarantee appropriate administrative support. Another key responsibility is overseeing University of Arizona division personnel recruitment, which encompasses tasks like processing hiring requests, managing FTE and salary adjustments, and handling terminations.
The Division Manager's role encompasses providing recommendations and collaborating with the Division Chief, Center Director, and faculty members. This collaboration covers a wide range of responsibilities, including matters related to Department policies, financial aspects of business operations, academic and research program plans, state and discretionary budgets, capital assets and resources, and research start-up packages and commitments. Additionally, it involves ensuring that institutional and departmental deadlines are met for their respective divisions.
Take ownership of issues and concerns of the Divisions to identify and evaluate alternative solutions. Provide guidance regarding interpretation and implementation of state, federal, university, and departmental policies and procedures.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required. Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience, including two (2) years of managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
