Role
Overall Assignment Description : Requirements Engineers are Systems Engineers who apply a structured approach to design and implementation of systems and processes. They capture and translate mission and customer requirements to transform them into capabilities, testing, and validation of services. They analyze and allocate requirements to systems architecture components and oversee the development, testing, and validation of systems and services. They coordinate the integration of systems and services into enterprise architecture and oversee deployment. They report to the program Chief Engineer and the engineering team to achieve desired outcomes for the customer.
Duties may include :
- Decomposing and allocating strategic level requirements / needs from ECDs, SOCs, ICBDs, CDDs, and Agency CONOPS.
- Maintaining consistency with the Agency\'s requirements process and CIO-T strategy while developing engineering artifacts, requirements documentation, and business cases.
- Implementing strategic plans and programs in coordination with senior internal and external partners.
- Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with NGA Integrated Program Offices, segments, matrixed technical offices, other NGA acquisition offices, and process owners.
- Interfacing with the Agency Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Developing and maintaining a Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RVTM) to ensure all requirements are allocated and tested as needed.
- Developing program performance metrics and reporting.
- Developing, communicating, and participating in systems engineering projects or boards; applying knowledge to committees and working groups that plan, collaborate, and execute systems programs and initiatives.
- Ensuring management is informed of issues, risks, and opportunities in a timely manner.
- Using the Joint Architecture Reference Models (JARM) to describe and analyze architectural service gaps, support AOA, leverage resources, and assist with invest / divest decisions for the program and agency.
- Capturing strategic Sensor Program requirements from associated Concept of Operations.
- Guiding mid- and junior-level requirements work.
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM field, or equivalent related experience (4 years).12+ years of experience in Requirements Engineering or related field.Experience tracing program / project requirements to source requirements such as JARM and JARM Technical Service Types (TSTs).Ability to coordinate with users and stakeholders to develop sensor program requirements for new and changing mission needs.Experience using DOORS Next Generation (DOORS NG) to manage requirements and interface with Enterprise Requirements Management.Experience with JIRA, CONFLUENCE, and Tableau for tracking requirements, documentation, and backlog progress.Previous NGA and / or NSG / ASG program / project work and previous IC or DoD program / project work.TS / SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.Desired :
Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM field.Knowledge of geospatial intelligence mission and its contributions to the Intelligence Community.Familiarity with NGA\'s Request for Change (RFC) process to validate and assign program requirements to NGA segments.Familiarity with agile development, including participation in scrums, solution epics, lean business cases, program epics, user stories, and features.Compensation
Target Salary Range : $135,000 - $216,000. Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, location, and contract considerations. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus may apply depending on the position.
