Job descriptionOversee AR and GL functions for a multifamily property portfolio, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance with policies. Immediate full-time opportunity. Indianapolis, IN. Team-oriented, high-volume, and fast-paced setting. $60,000–$70,000 annually, depending on experience. The Property Accountant will support the accounting function by managing AR and GL processes, performing reconciliations, and providing financial insights for a portfolio of multifamily properties. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager. Verify accuracy of lease and accounting data entered into Yardi. Review delinquency reports and collaborate with managers to maximize collections. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Post month-end close journal entries. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Provide insights on property performance during monthly reviews. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. 1–2 years of corporate accounting experience. Property management or residential real estate accounting experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
