Job description

Pay : $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Note : This position requires employees to be based in our clients East Coast or Chicago office, with regular travel (approx. 40% annually) to trials, depositions, and arbitrations.

Note : The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 5 years of experience in trial preparation and strong expertise with trial presentation software (OnCue, TrialDirector, TrialPad, or equivalent).

Our client is a leading law firm with a strong national reputation for handling complex litigation. With continued growth, the firm is expanding its dedicated trial support team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and the eDiscovery team on high-stakes cases across the country.

Job Description

  • Provide full trial support including attending trials, depositions, hearings, and arbitrations
  • Set up and manage all trial technology, courtroom equipment, and war room logistics
  • Present digital evidence in court acting as the hot seat operator during trial
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure seamless trial preparation and execution
  • Manage trial presentation software such as OnCue, TrialDirector, TrialPad, or equivalent platforms
  • Support eDiscovery and document management needs as part of the trial team
  • Meet billable target of approximately 100 hours per month (with a gradual onboarding ramp-up)
  • Work extended hours during active trial periods (1214 hour days) with lighter hours outside of trial (approx. 5 hours overtime per week)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years trial preparation or litigation support experience
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Advanced proficiency with trial presentation software (OnCue, TrialDirector, TrialPad, Sanction, or Opus 2)
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and related tools (PowerPoint, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding trial schedules
  • Flexibility to travel up to 40% of the year
