What You’ll Do
Clinical Oversight & Excellence → Lead treatment planning, guide case reviews, and ensure therapeutic programming is evidence-based and outcomes-driven.Staff Leadership & Development → Supervise Therapists and Care Path Managers, provide weekly coaching, and support BBS-registered staff in achieving licensure.Crisis Response & Consultation → Remain accessible for clinical emergencies, supporting staff with real-time decision-making.Program Development & Compliance → Create programming, support quality assurance, and maintain compliance with DHCS, DSS, and Joint Commission standards.Client Engagement → Carry a small caseload (3–5 clients) to stay connected to the clinical experience and model best practices.Collaboration & Teamwork → Partner with leadership, psychiatrists, and providers to ensure integrated, holistic client care.Who You Are
A licensed LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, or PhD in good standing.Experienced leader with at least 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a residential setting.Skilled in crisis intervention, therapeutic milieu management, and treatment planning within a residential mental health setting.Compassionate and culturally sensitive, ready to serve a diverse adult population.Strong communicator and mentor who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.Why Alter Behavioral Health?

Valid California license : LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, or PhD.Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Social Work.Minimum 2 years of experience in a DHCS / DSS-licensed residential program.2–3 years of clinical supervisory experience.Current CPR & First Aid Certification.Ability to pass a LiveScan criminal background check and drug screen.Preferred : CPI training or willingness to obtain.Regulatory & Compliance Expectations
