As a Security Professional - Logistics Access Monitor in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter incidents by monitoring and managing entry points. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining a visible presence, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. You will contribute to a secure environment while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

Pay Rate : $17.43 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials and identifying authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and offering assistance to individuals entering or exiting the location.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to communicate security-related concerns and / or incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution center and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and / or reports of daily activities, access control operations, and any incidents occurring during the shift.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following site emergency procedures and assisting first responders as needed.

  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
