Primary Purpose
Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for large projects and complex systems involving the installation / removal / modification of utility infrastructure on Exelon's electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecommunication facilities / systems.

- Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos.
- Assists with technical consultation, plan developments and recommendations for customer and company systems and processes.
- Evaluates effectiveness of current design processes.
Job Scope
Develops construction drawings and material requirements for complex systems and large projects associated with utility infrastructure installation, removal or modification.Provides technical assistance to engineering design technicians and associate engineering design technicians.May respond to customer needs for service by evaluating standard versus required facilities in order to develop charges for customers that have financial and operational impact.Responsible for financial requirements associated with projects that support the Asset Investment Committee (AIC) / Project Review Committee (PRC) process.Applies technical knowledge to help promote a safe work environment and to enhance customer satisfaction.Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3 or more years of technical experience, an associate's degree in a technical field and 5 or more years of technical experience, or 7 or more years of technical experience or relevant education if non-degreed or a non-technical degree.Successful completion of the Technician Occupations Selection Systems (TECH) test.Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific discipline installations, or service.Proficient Computer Drawing and Computer Assisted Design skills.Valid driver's license.Preferred Qualifications
Relevant education / experience is knowledge and / or skills that may be acquired through job experiences or education programs similar to a formal technical degree program.
