Licensed Practical Nurse 7am-3pm (Memory Care)

Staff LPN must have the physical, emotional, & technical abilities to :

• Work under the direction of the Director of Nurses
• Maintain knowledge of each resident from his / her biosketch and family interview
• Accept & verify resident medications delivered from pharmacy.
• Verify receipt of physician orders for medications and other treatments
• Administer medications per physician's order.
• Clarify physician orders as needed by calling the physician or his / her designee.
• Ensure all medication documentation is current and correct, including medication administration forms, physician orders, change of dosages, etc.
• Ensure medication room is completely stocked with all required continuous, PRN, over the counter, and other medications as ordered by the physician.
• Ensure medication room is secured at all times.
• Follow facility policies regarding disposal of medications.
• Communicate, as needed, with resident family members and other legal representatives in a courteous, professional manner.
• Supervises and gives direction to aides.
