Job descriptionEfficiently and safely operating hi-low and control movement of lifting equipment. Position forks or clamps under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, or materials and transport load to designated area. Load and unload materials onto or off trailers. Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device. Assist in tracking inventory of materials on work floor and supply production workers with materials as needed. Clear production area of finished goods and relocate to appropriate area. Lubricate truck, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank. Complete a daily checklist of the industrial truck and communicate needed maintenance / repair issue is discovered. Operate industrial truck in safe manner and adhere to all safety rules, guidelines, and practices. Complete all other duties the Supervisor deems necessary. 2nd shift 4 : 30pm-4 : 00am. Overtime paid after 40 hours. $17.00 / hr. (2nd shift receives $1.00 premium). Paid weekly. Full time. Paid training. Great coordination. Good vision and depth perception. Ideal reaction time. Ability to coordinate your own actions with those of others on a work team. Must be well-versed in technical specifications of the specific vehicles driven. Capable of performing routine maintenance on the industrial trucks driven. Six months or more of directly related experience preferred. Be able to perform all physical components of the position.
A Material Handler needs to be able to operate powered industrial machinery. They may need to use scanners to keep track of the items they are moving. They may also need to prepare those items to be moved, by placing them on pallets, wrapping them, etc.
- this position will start through our staffing agency then hired directly if / when eligible. Currently seeking 2nd shift position 4 : 30pm-4 : 00am.
