Job description

Position Summary The Manager of Content Development at Ambu North America leads a multidisciplinary team of designers, multimedia specialists, and editorial / copy creators. This role manages the full content creative process - from concept development to downstream execution - ensuring our content is bold, effective, customer-centric, and aligns with strategic objectives, brand identity, and corporate / global regulatory guidelines. The candidate will be responsible for delivering best-in-class content in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, while developing and continuously improving processes for team and project performance. This role is an essential part of our US downstream marketing organization that works with multiple internal teams to ensure content deliverables resonate with our customers, drive product adoption, and support business goal attainment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Oversee the development and execution of engaging and high-quality content in various formats for various channels designed to support business goals and brand building, including copy and editorial, graphic design, and multimedia production

Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performance team of content developers operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, tight-deadline commercial environment

Foster a collaborative and creative environment that encourages innovation and best-in-class content, alongside a cross-functional team of Ambu North America downstream marketing and the larger commercial organization

Develop advanced / new content creation processes, strategies, and standards suitable to meeting the quality, deadline, and efficiency needs of the content calendar of a scaling, high-growth commercial organization

Develop and provide data-centric monthly and quarterly performance reporting on content with KPIs from industry standards / comparable to internal benchmarks and business goals

Drive a creative “continuous improvement” loop for downstream marketing content to ensure content, materials, messaging and brand story consistently and increasingly resonates with North American target audiences & customer base

Develop and manage the annual budget and strategic plan for the creative content team for inclusion in the larger Marketing Communications and Marketing Organization annual operating plan

Ensure all creative output adheres to corporate and brand guidelines, internal / external regulatory guidelines, and maintains consistent brand identity across all content

Serve as the key resource for Adobe Workfront software, optimizing its use for project management, collaboration, and workflow efficiency

Publish monthly content calendar by franchise describing purpose, channel, and dates

Provide graphic design and other content development support, when needed

Other duties as required

Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor's degree in a creative or related field, certifications and / or specialized degree a plus

6-9 years of content marketing, editorial, and / or creative content experience with 3-4 years of managing a high performing team of content developers

Proven track record of creating high-impact content across various mediums

Familiarity with tools that automate content creation, distribution, or optimization

Working knowledge of Adobe design tools (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator)

Experience working for global organization preferred

Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Experience with advanced content strategies inclusive of topic clusters, interactive and immersive content, advanced and LLM SEO, retargeting, and personalization

Self-starter with a history of developing processes and collaborating to bring ideas to life
