Benoist Brothers Supply Co. is seeking an E-Commerce Manager to manage our e-commerce site. This role will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the e-commerce site, including product updates, website maintenance and customer support to place online orders. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and a deep understanding of the HVAC / R industry’s needs.

General Duties

  • Manage E-Commerce Platform : Manage the end-to-end operations of e-commerce site, including user experience (UX) and technical performance of the company's e-commerce platform, ensuring it meets the needs of B2B buyers.
  • Optimize Product Catalog : Manage an extensive, detailed product catalogue, including accurate specifications, pricing, and compatibility information tailored to HVAC / R products. Ensure catalogue structure is aligned with business needs.
  • Drive Digital Sales Growth : Implement strategies to increase online sales, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities while maintaining focus on large-volume B2B clients. Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategies for staying ahead of the competition.
  • Customer Support Integration : Ensure the platform supports customer-specific needs like order history, real-time stock visibility, personalized pricing, and the ability to handle complex HVAC / R purchasing requirements.
  • Vendor and Technology Management : Work closely with third-party vendors for hosting, development, and tools that enhance e-commerce functionality, including ERP and CRM integrations.
  • Collaborate with Business Teams : Align e-commerce strategies with offline sales goals and marketing campaigns to provide a seamless omnichannel experience for B2B customers. Partner with business on digital / email marketing campaigns. Ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Monitor and Analyze KPIs : Track metrics like conversion rates, average order values, and site traffic, making data-driven decisions to enhance performance and customer satisfaction

Education / Experience

Bachelors degree in Business, Technology or related field a plus

5+ years of HVAC industry experience preferred

3+ years of experience in e-commerce management a plus.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Product Knowledge in HVAC / R : Familiarity with HVAC / R products, terminology, and the needs of contractors, technicians, and other B2B clients.
  • Data Analytics and Interpretation : Ability to interpret site analytics to identify trends and opportunities and optimize sales funnels.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset : Focus on delivering an intuitive and efficient online purchasing experience for customers with features like self-service portals, quick order tools, and real-time inventory updates.
  • Process orientation : Understand end-to-end business process once eCommerce order is placed, including implications for ERP system and order fulfillment.
  • Technical Proficiency : Experience with digital tools, working with large volumes of data is key for success in this role.
  • Project Management : C oordinate cross-departmental projects, like launching new e-commerce functionalities or migrating platforms, within budget and deadlines.
  • Communication and Collaboration : Strong ability to liaise between technical teams, marketing, sales, and executive leadership to align e-commerce initiatives with business objectives.
  • Adaptability to Industry Trends : Curious mindset & continuous learning about digital transformation trends in the HVAC / R wholesale industry (e.g., mobile commerce, voice search, IoT-enabled devices)
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting : Address technical or operational challenges quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to online sales and customer experience
