Position Summary :
The Supervisor-MRI works with minimal supervision. Exercises discretion and independent judgment in handling personnel issues including training plans, quality review and education, equipment malfunctions, scheduling and staffing.
- Supervises MRI inpatient and outpatient in Orange location to ensure high level of service, productivity, and maintain / improve stakeholder satisfaction.
- Manages HR related needs with MRI Manager.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations, policies and procedures, and State and Federal regulations.
- Acts as a Liaison between internal and external customers to resolve any satisfaction or service concerns.
- Able to operate all equipment in MRI and instructs others in the operation.
- Able to perform a variety of advanced procedures that require independent judgment and clinical expertise.
- Shows initiative in accepting new responsibilities and learning new procedures.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications :
Verbal and written communication skills to explain technical MRI concepts, actively listen, persuade, advise, and counsel in EnglishVenipuncture CertificationSkills to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and software malfunction sin order to contact appropriate service personnelMust possess a RDCS certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or RCS certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing InternationalMust be able to participate in on call rotation and work weekend rotationsMinimum of three (3) to five (5) years recent MRI experience in an Adult Acute Care FacilityInterpersonal skills to work with a variety of patient populations and show sensitivityIn-depth knowledge of MRI equipment in order to operate and monitor the relevant technologyDemonstrated subject matter knowledge of MRI and ability to apply principles to ensure operations meet regulatory standardsDemonstrated leadership skills in training and guiding employees on radiology modality techniquesDemonstrated ability to solve problems and suggest solutions within defined procedures and policies through critical thinking processDemonstrated ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a complex, challenging environmentBachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.BLS RequiredAbility to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to organize assigned staff and unit operations in an efficient and effective manner. Skills to coordinate schedules of the patient, doctor, technologists, and nurse to serve the patient in a timely mannerAbility to maintain flexibility and work effectively in a constantly changing environmentAbility to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, researchers, radiology technicians, and other clinical staffARRT certificationAART-MRIIdeal Candidate 3-5 years experience in a level 1 trauma center, but not required
