Travel RN Job Details Location : San Angelo, Texas 76903 Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract (On-Site) Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay : $2000 - $2050 Shift : Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06 : 30 - 19 : 00), Friday to Sunday weekend block Hours per Week : 36 Unit : Main Operating Room (OR) Surgical Specialties : General, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Robotics Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required at submission Minimum 5 years of recent Operating Room RN experience preferred Experience in a Trauma Level II hospital required Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting system BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance Travel nursing experience highly preferred Local candidates within 110 miles are not eligible for this travel RN job Previous charge nurse experience preferred Operating Room RN Responsibilities Provide expert perioperative nursing care in a high-volume hospital operating room Assist with a variety of surgical procedures : general, neuro, orthopedic, trauma, and robotic surgeries Work a consistent weekend block schedule (Friday to Sunday) and provide call coverage as needed Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting and maintain accurate patient records Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and universal protocol procedures Respond to codes and surgical emergencies as required Support specimen handling, equipment management, and foster a positive team environment Experience the best of Texas healthcare jobs in San Angelo—where small-town charm meets modern amenities.
