We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Medical Director to join our Quality Assurance team, focusing on laboratory oversight and compliance. In this role, the Medical Director will oversee and review the efforts of the Clinical Manager, who maintains and runs the lab operations, ensuring adherence to CLIA certification requirements and regulatory standards. Additionally, the Medical Director will participate in Quality Assurance meetings to collaborate with other providers on advancing care practices and improving outcomes.Permanent job openingThis role offers a balance of administrative and clinical responsibilities. The Medical Director will dedicate time away from floor duties—approximately 2-3 days per quarter—to focus on Quality Assurance meetings and oversight of lab operations in collaboration with the Clinical ManagerQualifications : MD, DO, or equivalent degree with an active medical licenseFamiliarity with CLIA certification processes and regulatory standards for laboratory operationsStrong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail in compliance oversightExcellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work across teamsExperience in quality assurance, lab oversight, or related roles is a plusLaboratory Oversight and Compliance : Review and oversee the Clinical Manager’s efforts in maintaining laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with CLIA standards and other regulatory requirementsConduct regular reviews of lab maintenance, documentation, and quality control processes at all locationsIdentify potential areas for improvement and provide guidance to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal lab performanceCLIA Certification and Renewal : Collaborate with the Clinical Manager to lead and support efforts for CLIA certification renewalsApprove and review policies, procedures, and protocols related to lab operations to ensure complianceQuality Assurance Collaboration : Dedicate 2-3 days per quarter to attend Quality Assurance team meetingsCollaborate with other providers to discuss advancements in care, share insights, and develop quality improvement strategiesAnalyze lab-related quality metrics and contribute to improving patient outcomes and care practicesCollaboration and Training : Serve as a resource for the Clinical Manager and lab staff, providing support, oversight, and mentorship as neededEnsure staff are trained and up-to-date on best practices and regulatory requirementsReason for need : GrowthWork Schedule : Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch break - 1 weekend day a month 9am to 5pm with an hour lunchMust work 1 weekend day a monthPatient Census : 32 patients per providerCall Requirements : Nursing line handles 98% of the calls.
