Job Description :

We are hiring an experienced Java Developer to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee to join our team. You will :

  • Lead the redevelopment of legacy COBOL code into Java solutions.
  • Collaborate with other developers to deliver business-critical Java applications.
  • Utilize best practices to establish and refine coding standards.
  • Engage in agile / iterative development to provide regular progress updates.
  • Design, code, test, and document Java application components.
  • Work closely with IT team members and subject matter experts to determine solution approaches.
  • Adhere to timelines and development goals, ensuring application stability and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs.
  • Provide technical training and documentation for IT staff.
  • Maintain application software security and integrity.

    • Required Skills and Experience :

  • 10 years of industry / professional experience in Java solution development in the Windows environment.
  • 10 years of experience with Java Persistence API (JPA).
  • 10 years of experience with SQL.
  • 10 years of experience with RESTful web services.
  • 10 years of experience with JUnit.
  • Ability to propose, document, and implement software project lifecycle solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with technical and business teams.

    • Desired Skills and Experience :

  • Experience working with and understanding COBOL code.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience working with JavaScript frameworks and Single-page Application (SPA) solutions such as Angular or Blazor.
