American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR or related experience and current ARRT and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position based in an inpatient, operating room, and emergency room setting specializing in Interventional RadiologyDay shifts, Monday through Friday starting between 8 : 00 and 8 : 30 AM, with 40 hours per weekOn-call requirements as needed, with 0-4 assignments per month (more is elective)Typical daily caseload is 9 procedures per technologistProcedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, drainage, vascular, venous access, neurological studies, and peripheral / interventional radiology casesPatients include those with extremities, abdomen / GI, spine / pelvis, head, chest / thorax, genitourinary, and neurological issuesUses Excellian / Epic for chartingNo floating to other units or facilities requiredLocal candidates accepted with no distance restrictionsDuties include performing advanced interventional radiology imaging and assisting with vascular and non-vascular proceduresWork within a Level III Trauma, Magnet, and teaching hospital environmentScrubs provided by the unitReturn staff must have a 3-month gap from last shift worked as perm or per diemNo more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed during the contractCompletion of required modules and training prior to start; modules average 8 hoursFingerprinting for Minnesota background check must be completed prior to start and may require travel to an approved facilityCandidates with open legal cases cannot be consideredHoliday and block scheduling is not accommodatedFirst-time travelers are accepted\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional radiology, catheterization lab, ER, or operating roomCurrent ARRT and BLS certifications requiredPending state license accepted; license required if applicableExperience with specialized radiology procedures and various x-ray protocolsProficiency with Epic / Excellian EMR preferred or required for some rolesAbility to perform a wide range of IR, vascular, and special proceduresMust provide at least 1 supervisor reference for consideration\n Benefits\n
