Essential Job Function
- Bookkeeper to 501(c)(3) non-profit and General Assistant to the Executive Director
- Track all monies coming in and post to QuickBooks Online including vendor fees, donations, sales receipts; track according to receipt type and purpose of the donation / receipt – general fund, specific event, other specified purpose.
- Assist in retrieving data / information in the form QuickBooks Online queries and reports, including but not limited to : Annual Report, tax letters, fiscal agent reports, event profit & loss statements, etc.
- Manage volunteer database and posting volunteer positions in cooperation with Event Coordinators
- Participate as a volunteer in some DMI events as needed and able
- Assist Event Coordinators in finding materials needed for their event or ordering new items, including office supplies
- Establishment, implementation and maintenance of Operating Instructions
- Assist Executive Director in collecting materials for Board and / or project meetings
- Assist with preparation of mailings, particularly fundraising activities.
- Serve as Recording Secretary at all DMI Board meetings
Essential Job Requirements :
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online for NonprofitsBackground in generating invoices and paymentsAbility to reconcile bank accounts and cash flow statementsPreferred Qualifications :
Willing to learn. Attention to detail. Strong work ethic. Skilled communicator.Strong Math proficiency.Friendly collaborative attitude. Familiarity with the non-profit process.Position Status :
Paid by the hour on a bi-weekly basis, time sheets must be submittedFlexible work hours. Hourly pay and number of hours per week to be determined as part of the contractHourly pay to be determined as part of the contractThis is a contractor position (or part-time employee position) and there are no benefits or paid holidaysPreferred start date of December 1, 2025
