We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth.

Day in the Life of a Component Engineer

This position provides technical component and engineering support across all controlled component commodities. As a Component Engineer, you will coordinate and influence the component or commodity selection process to advocate standardization. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with global environmental regulations and requirements on Bell's products. Additionally, this position coordinates workload between a cross functional team to develop, implement, and monitor company-wide approach to compliance with industry, environmental, and company policies.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for defining component requirements and preferred component selection to achieve optimum lifecycle cost and minimize recurring cost for standard / vendor parts.
• Investigate and analyze component and supplier data.
• Coordinate with component suppliers to develop component designs.
• Review test data for approving sources and resolving part quality issues.
• Participate in problem isolation / resolution as a result of a Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) notices.
• Create and maintain company standards in the absence of existing industry standards for multi-source procurement.
• Participate in cross functional teams to maintain industry and environmental compliance.
• Understand and explain component standards and regulations.
