Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site protocols. Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and interacting with staff and customers as needed. Work collaboratively with store management and other Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all incidents, patrols, and observations during the shift. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Security Officer- Retail Site - Afternoon Shift
As a Security Officer- Retail Site - Afternoon Shift in Mesquite, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic retail location. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a welcoming environment for customers and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and act as a visible representative of Allied Universal's values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact while working in an engaging, people-focused setting.

What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
