Shift : 3x12s, Days or Nights, Every Other Weekend

Job Description :

Sunbelt Staffing is hiring a Psychiatric RN for a travel contract at a respected behavioral health facility in Columbus, GA. This role offers 36 hours per week on a rotating day or night shift with every other weekend required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced psychiatric unit, providing compassionate and skilled care to individuals in mental health crisis.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care in an inpatient setting

Monitor patients physical and emotional well-being

Administer medications and evaluate effectiveness

Document care and communicate changes to the care team

Assist with crisis intervention and patient de-escalation techniques

Qualifications :

Active Georgia RN license or compact state license

At least 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience

BLS Certification (AHA)

CPI or PMAB certification preferred

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and onboarding in compliance with the Joint Commission
