This position is locally funded.

Salary is determined on directly related experience supported by a service record or experience affidavit. Annualized pay may be pro-rated based on actual start date.

Position Summary

The Classroom Instructor Computer Lab supports the effective operation of the schools computer lab and assists students and teachers in integrating technology into the learning environment. Under the supervision of a certificated teacher or administrator the aide helps students with computer-based learning activities ensures proper use and care of equipment and provides technical and instructional support during lab sessions. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy organized patient and passionate about fostering digital literacy among students.

2) School transcript diploma or GED.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency.
• Experience working with children in any of the following : school daycare church day camp youth group private school licensed day-care center or similar.
• Valid educational aidecertificate issued by the State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Satisfactory outcome of fingerprint background check.

Tools / Equipment Used : Standard instructional equipment including personal computer and peripherals.

Posture : Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling / squatting bending / stooping pushing / pulling and twisting.

Motion : Frequent walking including frequent keyboarding / use of mouse; occasional reaching.

Lifting : Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment. Occasional moderate lifting and carrying (1544 pounds).

Environment : Work inside may work outside; regular exposure to noise.

Mental Demands : Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours.
