Description :

The position involves working in a maternal fetal diagnostic center focused on high-risk pregnancies.

Registered Nurses will assist with various patient assessments and fetal monitoring.

The average number of patients seen daily is approximately 40, depending on the assigned RN role.

Common diagnoses include fetal anomalies, fetal cardiac care, advanced maternal age, medication exposure in pregnancy, history of preterm delivery, short cervix, multiple gestation, genetic or blood disorders, seizure disorders, diabetes, hypertension, isoimmunization, history of infertility, and maternal congenital heart disease.

The unit comprises multiple exam rooms, consult rooms, a lab, a conference room, and a non-stress test room.

A clinical care coordinator serves as the lead on each shift.

Medical Office Assistants are utilized for patient rooming and vital sign checks.

The electronic medical record system used is Epic.

Shifts are 8 hours, typically beginning at 7 : 30 AM or 8 : 00 AM.

There is no weekend or holiday requirement, and no call or standby requirement exists.

Scrub attire is required, with no specific color mandated.

Orientation requires 2-3 weeks of training.
