The ICU Registered Nurse provides high-quality, compassionate, and timely patient care to critically ill adults in a fast-paced intensive care environment. This role involves continuous assessment, monitoring, and management of complex medical conditions while coordinating closely with interdisciplinary care teams. Night shift, 12-hour schedules with every other weekend required. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established standards and protocols. Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and response to treatment. Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform advanced clinical procedures as needed. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized care plans. Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely charting and patient documentation. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment while providing emotional support to patients and families. Respond promptly to emergencies, code situations, and rapid changes in patient condition. Follow staffing guidelines (1 : 2 ratio) and support an average unit census of 8 patients. Adhere to infection control policies, medication safety standards, and ICU best practices. Participate in ongoing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience (critical care / telemetry experience also considered). Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system (highly preferred). Ability to work 3×12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM-7 : 30 AM) with every other weekend required. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in high-acuity settings. Effective communication, teamwork, and patient-family engagement abilities.
