Job description3 months or more tractor-trailer experience. Valid CDL Class A license and Medical Card. Urine / Hair drug test (post-offer testing may apply). Clean driving record. Competitive Pay : 52-56 cpm based on experience. Miles : approx. 2,000 miles average; top performers 2,300-3,000 miles weekly. DRY, No-Touch Freight. No Forced NYC Dispatch : You won't be required to deliver into NYC or its five boroughs. Detention Pay : $12.50 per hour after the second hour. Layover / Breakdown Pay : $100 per day, unless a higher amount is required by state or local law. Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods safely and efficiently over regional routes.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo transported.
