THE ROLE:

We are looking for a dynamic, upbeat software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for Software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Debug, Test Fixes and Validate AI/ML SW issues/features before releasing them to customers
• Design and develop Docker containers for AI Software on ROCm SDK.
• Design and develop software (Bash, C++, Python, Pytest) to execute tests, AI/ML benchmarks
• Develop software (Python, Linux shell scripts, etc.) code to extract metrics from run logs
• Develop software to process metrics, update SQL tables used by Grafana frontend
• Design and develop SQL tables to organize test, performance metrics for AI Software
• Debug and root cause failures, performance degradation on ROCm platform, implement fixes/workarounds to AI software components
• Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them
• Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Hands-on experience with Python, Bash, Linux
• Hands-on experience using AI Agentic development
• Knowledge of AI software frameworks, PyTorch, JAX, vLLM, SGLang
• Knowledge of Software Engineering principles, Data structure, algorithms, Operating Systems concepts, and multithread programming *
• Familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
