The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening and recommending candidates . This role will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with the managers, identify potential “fit” through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer the interviewing, and ensure a positive new hire experience. This is a seasonal contract position with the opportunity for full-time based on business needs.
Core Responsibilities
Source candidates via various databases. Attend career fairs and assist in screening candidates resumes and job applications.
Conduct 1st interviews using the proper grading and screening tools.
Recommend 2nd interviews and schedule 2nd interviews for the correct hiring manager.
Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
Assist with project based tasks in updating recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards / colleges when applicable.
Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Assist in projects to enhance the TA team’s recruitment strategies.
Performs any other project or task as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or other relevant degrees or 2 yrs equivalent experience.
Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator or High Volume Recruiter
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Ability to maintain efficiency, work independently
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline
Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices
Hands on experience with various selection processes like virtual interviews
Ability to conduct different types of interviews (e.g. structured, competency based and behavioral)
Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems
Experience with ADP Applicant Tracking System preferred
Familiarity with social media, especially LinkedIn
