This is an adjunct faculty pool for teaching in the Dental department. The pool will remain open until June 2026 unless positions are no longer needed. Applications will be reviewed and candidates will be contacted and interviewed as positions become available.
Responsible for instructing assigned Dental Assistant courses. Potential courses include : Dental Assistant I and II , Dental Assistant Labs. Provides direct supervision and assessment of progress of dental assisting students in a classroom or laboratory classroom setting, each with an online component. Participate in program faculty meetings. Maintain college standards regarding professionalism, record keeping and instruction within the Dental department faculty team of the Dental programs.
Supervision Received
The dean is, in consultation with the Director of Dental Programs, responsible for carrying out the evaluation of instructors under procedures developed by the vice president. The dean confers with the department director in decisions regarding instructor workload, professional growth, retention, and department staffing levels.

Education :
Only degrees received from an accredited institution will be accepted : accreditation must be recognized by the office of degree authorization, US Department of Education, as required by ORS 348.609. Final candidate will be required to provide official transcripts for required degree.

Preferred Qualification : RDH certification.
For assignments requiring operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a valid Oregon Driver's License and proof of an acceptable driving record are required. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver's license within 30 days (ORS 807.020 (1)).

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, twist, crouch, climb, balance, see, talk, hear, and manipulate objects. The position requires some mobility including the ability to move materials weighing up to 35 pounds on a regular basis. This position requires both verbal and written communication abilities.

Adjunct faculty are hired on a term-by-term basis and are not eligible for benefits.
