At SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital, we are looking for passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to provide exceptional care in our Cardiac Telemetry unit during night shifts.
Job Summary :
As a Cardiac Telemetry RN, you will deliver direct nursing care following established policies and procedures, ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
Responsibilities :
- Enhance the quality of care and life for patients and their families by systematically evaluating nursing practices.
- Build effective relationships, serving as an advocate to develop personalized care plans for each patient's unique needs.
- Employ the nursing process to assess, diagnose, implement, and evaluate each patient's care.
- Develop management strategies based on a holistic approach to the patient's physical, cultural, and social needs.
- Utilize leadership skills in collaboration with patients, families, and inter-professional teams to assess needs and set goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients and health care providers to ensure understanding of care options while promoting cultural sensitivity and compassion.
- Educate patients and families on health promotion and restoration measures.
- Foster a supportive environment by mentoring colleagues and students within the nursing profession.
- Apply evidence-based practices to deliver age-specific and clinically appropriate nursing care.
- Maintain vigilance and safety in all patient interactions.
- Perform point of care testing and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education : Graduate from an accredited nursing program or possess equivalent education for licensing.
Experience : No prior nursing experience is required.
Physical Requirements :
Constant oral communication and active engagement with patients.Frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs) along with occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).Ability to use vision for close and distance tasks and distinguish colors.Frequent use of hearing for effective communication and awareness of medical alarms.Licenses and Certifications :
All candidates must hold the following :
Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the relevant state authority.Work Shift : Night Shift
