Surgical Tech I - Operating Room

Overview : The Surgical Tech I provides assistance and support to surgeons by preparing and providing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures in the Operating Room. Works under the supervision of the surgeon. Facilitates a safe, effective and orderly operating room to maximize patient safety. Type of Opportunity : Part Time Work Schedule : Days Qualifications : HS Diploma or GED required. Scrub various types of basic surgical procedures : general, OB / gyn, urology, gastroenterology. Short-term training in operating room setting preferred. Previous experience with handling of sterile supplies and / or instruments preferred. Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment. Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.
