American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN with at least one prior travel assignment, ACLS / BLS, and multi-patient critical care expertise for 12-hour day shifts.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a 20-bed ICU / CCU within an Advanced Care UnitCare for patients with heart failure, respiratory distress, ACS, arrhythmias, DM, post-cath, surgical, and post-neuro casesTypical ICU nurse-to-patient ratio is 2 : 1, with 1 : 1 for higher acuityOccasional assignment to telemetry or step-down with 4 : 1 or 4–5 : 1 ratios depending on shiftMonitor and manage a variety of critical care drips and interventions including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin12-hour day shift schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotationUses Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitorsFloating required to Telemetry, Med-Surg, and Neurology-Medical units, with travelers first to floatJoin a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, HUCs, phlebotomy, IV / VAT team, hospitalists, telemetry techs, respiratory therapy, and intensivist supportRNs review and chart on telemetry strips for assigned patientsUnit support includes phlebotomy and respiratory therapy available 24 / 7Two-shift unit-based orientation in addition to general hospital onboardingRequired scrub attire is any professional colorFree employee parking providedApproval for up to 7 days off requested during contractPrevious travel experience highly valued and required\n \n Requirements\n
