Assistant Chief Radiology

The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is actively seeking a board-Diagnostic Radiologist to join our collaborative and mission-focused Radiology Service. This is a full-time, permanent position offering work-life balance, job stability, and the opportunity to provide high-quality care to Americas Veterans in a highly desirable coastal location.

The Radiology-Diagnostic Assistant Chief will interpret Routine Diagnostic, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound exams, perform Fluoroscopic exams as required, and oversee the administration of contrast media to ensure that all required protocols are within Service/Medical Center guidelines.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• The Radiologists at the Bay Pines VA Health Care System are involved in some form of additional administrative duties which allows for all members of the team to be involved in decision making for the Department.
• Perform general diagnostic radiology skills including radiography, fluoroscopy, US, CT, and MRI procedures.
• Involved with teaching of the USF Residents whom most have academic appointments at the University of South Florida.
• Formulate and implement general policies, procedures, standards, and goals and objectives for the Diagnostic Radiology Service that are consistent with, and supportive of, the mission of the facility.
• Provide expertise in all clinical areas as well as growing the department for the future.
