Role requirements

• Buying experience in Toys and Stationery (with decision making authority), preferably at US retailers in the discount off-price space and close-out space
• Broad knowledge of the US supplier market, including close-out traders, importers, wholesalers and domestic manufacturers
• Experience in buying close-outs and spot buys
• Experience in managing the assortment of a product category on day-to-day basis
• Experience working in fast-growing retailers or companies in a start-up phase
• Merchant who is crazy about products, customers and retail in general. On top of product trends in the market
• Fast decision maker with entrepreneurial spirit
• The role includes extensive travel within the US and international travel
