REGISTERED FUNDS ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Location : San Francisco, CA

Our client, a leading global  AmLaw 50  law firm, is seeking a talented  Registered Funds Associate Attorney  to join their well-established  Financial Services  group. Renowned for providing counsel to prominent financial services firms, asset managers, and investment funds, this group represents clients from start-ups and boutique operations to some of the largest financial institutions globally. Recognized as a top-tier law firm in investment fund services by industry publications like  Chambers USA.

Candidate Profile :

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record .

Active Bar Admission in California.

3-6 years  of substantive experience in  registered investment companies .

Familiarity with the  Investment Company Act  and  Investment Advisers Act  is necessary.

Exposure to exchange-traded funds, variable insurance products, business development companies, investment advisers, or commodities is advantageous.

Preference for candidates with prior experience in a  large law firm ,  in-house , or a  regulatory agency .

Key Responsibilities :

Advise clients on complex issues relating to registered investment companies, supporting a diverse client base that includes start-ups, boutique firms, and global financial institutions.

Provide counsel on regulatory compliance with the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act, and other pertinent regulations.

Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation, disclosures, and other relevant materials for mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and other investment products.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage client engagements, contributing legal insight and strategic guidance across a variety of fund structures and transactions.

Stay abreast of emerging trends in the financial services industry to proactively identify client opportunities and address challenges.

Compensation & Benefits :

Competitive Salary : $260,000+ , commensurate with experience and class year.
