Puerto Rico Software Engineering Apprentice

About the Role

This position will join our small but growing engineering team focused on building our core product offerings. We value team members who can articulate the why behind technical decisions and who approach software development as a craft that creates business value.

As a distributed team we place high value on proactive communication transparency and a bias for action. Our engineers work on both customer-facing and internal employee products developing features and iterating across our platform to bring flawless experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Application Architecture & Development

• Work towards a proficiency of one or more programming languages such as Typescript Go and Python
• Contribute to project success through technical designing writing testing and shipping code within expected timeframes.
• Learn coding and testing best practices while applying them to the work you do.
• Collaborate and pair with others on the team and cross-functionally including working with Product and Design teams to understand customer pain points ideate on solutions and execute plans.
• Understand the work at Inkit our customers and why we do what we do.
• Curiosity and enjoyment of discovering problems as much as solving them.
• problem-solving and adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
