Radiation Therapist

The Radiation Therapist applies ionizing radiation to thepatient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the RadiationOncologist. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for helping in the efficientoperation of the radiation department and ensuring safe patient care.

Minimum Requirements :

Associate's Degree, if required by stateregulations / licensing requirements

Current Licensure as a Radiation Therapist, as required bystate regulations or contract specification

Two (2) years of experience as a Radiation Therapistpreferred

Current CPR if applicable

TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be registered or registry eligible by the ARRTand obtain within one year from graduation of Accredited Radiation TherapyProgram - Valid Massachusetts State license required - Current American HeartAssociation BLS certification required - Two years of experience required -Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills required.
