Maines second largest hospital serves more than 500,000 residents across northern and eastern Maine and is home to an unopposed Family Medicine Residency, offering teaching opportunities for interested physicians.Join a collegial team of four orthopedic surgeons with subspecialties in arthroplasty, foot & ankle, shoulder, and sports medicine, supported by five experienced PAs, dedicated nursing and OR staff, and advanced imaging and rehab services. The department features on-site MRI and X-ray, 3-D imaging, and block time in both hospital and ambulatory OR settings. Orthopedic subspecialists in non-operative sports medicine, oncology / MSK, and physiatry are available for collaborative care. Additional patient support includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehab, and wound care.Enjoy a comfortable weekday schedule (mix of clinic and OR time). Call is shared 1 : 4, limited to the practice only so, no ED call and the PAs take first call. The joint-replacement program is certified as a Center of Excellence in Arthroplasty.
