Job description

As a Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention (YMCI) Clinician, you'll provide timely and responsive care to youth in need-right where they are.

What You'll Do :

As a YMCI Clinician, you will deliver in-person behavioral health crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services to individuals under 21 years of age in community settings. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop appropriate treatment recommendations and connect youth to the right level of care. Your role includes collaborating with counselors, family partners, and clinical leadership to support youth and families through crisis with empathy and professionalism.

Schedule : Monday-Tuesday 8am-6 : 30pm & Thurs-Fri 10 : 00am-8 : 30pm or Sun-Wed 10am-8 : 30pm

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide community-based crisis assessments and stabilization services to youth under age 21
  • Partner with counselors or family partners during mobile outreach to meet the full spectrum of behavioral and social needs
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, clinical supervisors, peer specialists, and recovery coaches as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure youth and families fully understand treatment recommendations and follow-up plans
  • Utilize diversionary strategies to reduce unnecessary psychiatric hospitalization
  • Offer clinical consultation and guidance to colleagues conducting crisis evaluations

  • What You'll Bring :

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology (required)
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in crisis evaluation or intervention (preferred)
  • Strong communication, risk assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (required)
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations with empathy, calm, and professionalism
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
