This position is responsible for interpreting blueprints, performing operations on routers, and assisting with the setup and teardown of machining processes. The role also includes operating various machines, which may include manual or CNC mills and lathes.
- Responsibilities :
- Supports continuous improvement programs
- Assist with Setting up and tearing down simple jobs, including tool and geometry offsets
- Read and interpret blueprints properly
- Inspect parts to verify blueprint requirements prior to first article
- Properly transfer, edit and save CNC programs
- Quickly and accurately load and unload machines
- Make productive use of all time
- Run multiple machines when feasible and safe to do so
- Provide input to ensure Routers are updated properly
- Follow router and quality system procedures
- Positive team player
- Actively participate in company 5S program
- Perform all job duties and functions in compliance with all company safety standards.
- Requirements :
- Actively participating in Machines Trade Educational program or 2 years minimum experience in machine shop.
- Ability to read Engineering drawings ( Blue Print Reading )
- Ability to properly use common inspection equipment
- Speak, read and write fluent English
- Physical requirements :
- Ability to repetitively lift 5 pounds
- Ability to bend, reach & stoop
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Good eyesight required
